we sat and listened to the wind in the trees. we let ourselves breathe. we learned how to be.
toddlers have so much to teach us, so much that we may have forgotten, like how nothing is as important as this very moment… how being is… how nature makes the music… how snuggles can only be found if we are quiet enough to wait for them.
i am 52 and have lived my life outside the political fray. i have taken care of my family and spoken to my community through my storytelling art. but this year, that has not been enough. and so i marched. and now i am on a mission. as women, our voices must be heard. mine says “don’t underestimate my power” what does yours say? leave your personal slogan in the comments and may we all stand up and listen!
